Postoperative Hand Surgery Instructions

• Elevate your hand above heart level for initial 48 hours after surgery.
• Move fingers as much as possible.
• Keep bandage clean and dry. Cover with plastic bag when showering.
• Remove bandage in four days. Reapply a gauze bandage.
• You may shower over incision at this time, but do not submerge your hand in water.
